Permaculture

Introduction
What’s Permaculture all about? It’s an ethical decision-making and thinking skill that emphasises care for the planet and all people, and the sharing of resources and energy. Permaculture is underpinned by three simple ethical principles to guide our everyday thinking and actions: Earth Care, People Care, Fair Share.

Facilities
Our permaculture courses are delivered at our Kangaroo Ground training centre which includes a training room, ten acre pristine environmental reserve, small orchard of fruit and nut trees, vegetable garden and water catchment area. The facility is set in an operational vineyard with providing students with the opportunity to see seasonal cycles from bud burst to bottling.

Our location at the gateway to the Yarra Valley, one of Australia’s premier food and wine regions, provides excellent access to producers for class visits and excursions and potential student employment opportunities with abundant local wineries and restaurants.
