Introduction
If you love working with horses enrol in this course to gallop towards a future in the exciting equine industry. Equine Studies is a specialised animal science that combines aspects of business management essential for the successful operation of an equine enterprise.
During this hands-on course students learn about the Equine Industry in a practical manner including designing and participating in an equestrian event. Your training will include interactive sessions working with our inspirational trainers who’ll offer you lots of personal attention and access to our excellent equine facilities.
The course is recommended for students who have a genuine interest in and involvement with horses. Students must have access to a horse.
Destinations
Students will gain entry level skills to further study or related industry employment.
Facilities
The practical components of the course are undertaken at Eltham Pony Club and NMIT’s Northern Lodge.
Industry Network
The course includes a work placement which allows students to enhance and apply their skills and knowledge and to develop industry networks.
